Where is Fall?

Well, we went to Michigan this past weekend to see our friends in Life Action. The weather was spectacular. We really needed jeans or sweatshirts, but made due with the shorts and t-shirts I had packed. One night we sat around a bon fire at our friends house and enjoyed the warmth of the fire and friendship as we ate s'mores. Then is was back to Texas and the 90+ degree heat. Uhh, I'm ready for Fall!

Oh, just before we went out of town, I had my first OB appt. with this baby. Everything looked great. My official due date is April 29. And yes, there's only one heartbeat! Our doctor just laughed at us, but was very supportive and encouraging too. If anyone in the Fort Worth area needs a good OB/GYN, I strongly recommend Dr. Beverly Wood.

Well, no time for pictures tonight. It's already 10:45 PM and my allergies almost have my eyes swollen shut. So I'll close for now and try to post some new pictures in the next few days.

A big week gets even bigger,

Well, everyone else had big news this week, so I couldn't stand not sharing my big news. It would seem that we are going to have another baby. Yes, as my dad says, "but you just had a baby." As close as we can figure it, Katie Beth and baby #4 will be 13 mos apart. A little closer than I would have planned, but we can trust in the Lord's timing. So far I'm feeling ok, just really tired and starting to get a little sick when I'm hungry...which seems often. We go to the doctor on Sept 20, so I'll get my exact due date then. So, yes, we are shocked, but we are also so excited for this little blessing!

It's been a big week...

Well, this week has had milestones for each of my little monkeys.
Will started Kindergarten! He is so big! We are sending him to a Classical School only 3 miles from our house. His class only has 11 kids, which is really nice. Another great thing is that they meet in our church building. I think the familiar surroundings really helped on his first day, he didn't cling at all. His teacher, Mrs. Snead, is very sweet but also very strict. I think she is a good match for Will. Of course, she has already been warned and experienced his infatuation with airplanes.

Charlie also started Mother's Day Out this week. He thinks he's big now because his class is upstairs this year. On the way there, after dropping off Will, he asked if we could come to his room, "for 'bout 5 minutes." Of course, we went with him. He settled right in and started playing with his old friends. One of his teachers, Mrs. Robin, attends our church and is one of my friends, so it was nice for him to have familiar faces.

Katie Beth, not to be left out, had new adventures this week as well. We started cereal! She was not a fan at first, including gagging on it. After a few days, she's doing a little better, although it still is not her favorite thing. I'm just hoping she starts sleeping a little better. She had been sleeping until 7-8 am, but lately it's been 5:30-6:30 am. If you know anything about me, you know that I don't function that early in the morning! We'll see how it goes. Her other big accomplishment is that she sat up today for about 10 seconds. Not a lot, but she was on her own for a little bit!

"Are you kiddin' me? What is this stuff you keep poking in my mouth? I keep sticking it back out, but you just don't seem to get it!"

Then, last night, Keith had the honor and priveledge of playing the National anthem at the Texas Rangers baseball game. He was terrific as usual. This was his 4th time, so he's an old pro now. It was the third time for our church to attend the game as a group. We sold about 145 tickets, but due to the rainy weather, only had about 90 in attendance. Still, it was fun!
